Powder Coatings

Why Powder Coating?

Powder coating creates a durable protective barrier between metal surfaces and the elements that cause corrosion. The dry powder is applied to a properly prepared metal substrate and cured under heat to form a continuous, tightly bonded finish.
Compared with many traditional liquid paint systems, properly applied powder coatings can provide greater film thickness, improved durability, and strong resistance to chipping, scratching and environmental exposure.

Protection Built for Demanding Service

Corrosion Resistance

Helps isolate metal surfaces from moisture, oxygen, salt and other corrosion drivers.

Chemical Resistance

Adds protection for equipment exposed to aggressive industrial and process environments.

Abrasion Resistance

Durable finishes help resist chipping, scratching and everyday industrial wear.

Weather & UV Resistance

Helps maintain protection and appearance through sunlight, humidity and changing weather.

Corrosion Protection That Pays

Corrosion-related failures can lead to production interruptions, increased maintenance labor, premature equipment replacement, environmental incidents and safety concerns. For operations where equipment reliability matters, proactive corrosion protection can be far more economical than reactive repair and replacement.

Petrochemical & Energy

Petrochemical and energy equipment may
be exposed to aggressive chemicals,
hydrocarbons, drilling fluids, hydrogen
sulfide, moisture and abrasive operating
conditions. Ironwood provides coating
solutions designed to protect critical metal
components in demanding service
environments while helping reduce
maintenance requirements and support
reliable operation.

Marine & Offshore

Saltwater and high humidity create some of the most aggressive corrosion conditions in industrial service. Ironwood coating systems help protect equipment exposed to salt spray, moisture, sunlight, weather and continuous marine conditions – helping critical components stay in service longer.

Ideal For

Keep corrosion away from the metal and keep your equipment working longer.

Industrial Coating Applications

Ironwood coating systems are suited for a wide range of industrial components and equipment operating in demanding environments.

Valves & Fittings

Corrosion protection for critical flow- control components.

Pumps & Impellers

Durable protection against moisture, chemicals and wear.

Structural Steel

Long-term protection for exposed industrial steel.

Pipe Supports & Racks

Coating systems for demanding plant environments.

Offshore Equipment

Protection engineered for salt, moisture and exposure.

Marine Hardware

Durable coatings for harsh maritime conditions.

Processing Equipment

Protect critical equipment from corrosion and chemical exposure.

Heavy Equipment

Industrial-strength protection against weather and wear.

Advanced Industrial Coating Solutions

Not every component can be adequately protected with a traditional coating system. Ironwood offers advanced industrial coating options for demanding applications requiring exceptional  corrosion, chemical, abrasion and wear resistance.

Our capabilities include Cerakote industrial ceramic coatings for energy, marine and industrial applications. Thin-film characteristics make these systems especially useful for critical components, tight-tolerance areas and difficult-to-coat surfaces.

Ideal for Critical & Tight-Tolerance Areas

Why Ironwood

Defense manufacturers don’t need another vendor.

They need a coating partner that understands the consequences of getting the details wrong.

Ironwood partners with defense manufacturers, system integrators, robotic developers, aerospace suppliers, and government contractors seeking reliable, repeatable surface protection solutions. Ironwood combines advanced ceramic and powder coating technologies with experienced personnel, industrial equipment, surface preparation capabilities, and a commitment to process control.

We understand that the coating is not merely the final appearance of a component.

It is part of the component's performance.

Protect Your Equipment With Ironwood

Whether you are protecting a single critical component or managing coating requirements across an industrial operation, Ironwood can help identify a coating solution built around your application and operating environment.

Reduce corrosion. Extend equipment life. Protect your investment.
